Dr. B. Visalakshi is an accomplished academic, researcher and creative writer with over 13 years of teaching experience across UG, PG, M.Phil. and PhD levels. She serves as Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of English at E.R.K Arts & Science College, Erumiyampatti, Dharmapuri.
She earned her PhD from Government Arts College, Salem, specialising in African American Feminism. Her dissertation — "Black Feminist Altruism: A Radical Potential in the Gamut of Ntozake Shange's Choreo Drama" — is published as a monograph and has inspired 31 peer-reviewed publications.
As a recognised PhD Research Supervisor under Periyar University, she has guided 8 awarded doctorates and 3 ongoing PhD scholars, 13 M.Phil. dissertations, and serves on three international journal editorial boards.
