Microbiology Laboratory

Equipped with all instruments required for the BSc Microbiology programme as per Periyar University norms. Includes microscopes, autoclaves, centrifuges, laminar airflow, incubators and biochemical testing equipment. Dedicated Lab Assistant: Mrs. S. Saranya.

Chemistry Laboratory

Fully furnished with glassware, chemical reagents, fume hoods, spectrophotometers and analytical balances. Supports practical work for BSc Chemistry and MSc Chemistry students. Separate organic, inorganic and physical chemistry sections.

Botany Laboratory

Equipped with compound microscopes, herbarium specimens, dissection kits, permanent slides and culture equipment. Supports BSc Botany and MSc Botany practical curriculum.

Zoology Laboratory

Contains preserved specimens, dissection instruments, microscopes, and anatomical models. Provides hands-on training for BSc Zoology students in animal morphology, physiology and ecology.

Physics Laboratory

Furnished with optical benches, spectrometers, electrical circuits, measuring instruments and demonstration apparatus for BSc Physics and MSc Physics practical examinations and experiments.

Clinical Lab Technology (CLT) Lab

Dedicated laboratory for the BSc CLT (Clinical Lab Technology) programme. Equipped with haematology, biochemistry, microbiology and histopathology equipment for clinical diagnostics training.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS unit of E.R.K Arts & Science College actively organises community service programmes, village adoption drives, cleanliness campaigns under Swachh Bharat Mission, blood donation camps, and awareness rallies on social issues.

Activities: Blood donation camps, tree plantation, voter awareness, women empowerment programmes, Annual NSS camp in adopted village.

Youth Red Cross (YRC)

The YRC unit focuses on health awareness, first aid training, blood donation, and disaster relief preparedness. Members are trained volunteers who assist in medical camps and community health programmes.

Activities: First aid training, health camps, thalassemia awareness, blood group registration drives.

Junior Red Cross (JRC)

The JRC unit emphasises humanitarian values, environmental consciousness, and youth leadership. Students are trained in the principles of Red Cross and participate in joint activities with YRC for health and community outreach.

Activities: Environmental activities, Junior Red Cross conventions, humanitarian value education.

Canteen

Hygienic and affordable canteen providing vegetarian meals, snacks and beverages for students and staff. Open all working days during college hours.

Seminar Hall

A well-equipped seminar hall used for guest lectures, workshops, inter-college seminars, convocations, and cultural events. AV equipment and seating for large gatherings.

Administrative Office

Fully staffed administrative office for admissions, examinations, fee payment, scholarships, certificates and all student support services. Counter staff available all working days.

Health & Counselling

The college provides basic health awareness programmes and counselling support for students. Anti-ragging committee and Women Welfare Cell are active for student protection.

Wi-Fi Campus

Campus is Wi-Fi enabled with 200 Mbps broadband leased line connectivity, ensuring students can access online resources, SWAYAM courses, and e-journals from within the campus.
